Aston Martin to add two additional vehicles to its lineup

Aston Martin has already announced plans to release seven vehicles in seven years to make sure the second-century starts with a bang and keeps the British brand as a mainstay in the sports and luxury car market. We already know about the DBX crossover that’s set for a 2019 launch along with the hybrid driven RapidE, but what about the others?

The upcoming gorgeous Aston Martin DB11 is part of the run as well as is the 2018 Aston Martin Vanquish which is said to have around 800 horsepower driving the rear wheels. This year, the brand is launching the all-new 2017 Aston Martin Vantage and further down the line, an additional luxury sedan is destined for production possibly bearing the Lagonda badge.

That’s five models right there excluding the RapidE which leaves us with two more unannounced models that Aston Martin is keeping under heavy wraps. However, recent reports suggest that one of those models will be a smaller sedan to the petrol powered Rapide. This model would stack up against the Rolls-Royce Ghost and Bentley Flying Spur.

The other model is said to hide a mid-mounted engine setup powering the rear wheels. If correct, this model will rival the Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari 488 and a rumoured Porsche 960. Adrian Newey, famed designer of Red Bull’s F1 car is said to have a hand in designing the vehicle.

Red Bull and Aston Martin’s joint venture constructing an epic supercar is not part of the seven-car run and is seen as special edition as is the Vanquish Zagato model due out shortly. The Energy drink giant and British manufacturer have also shown interest in creating more power hungry machines in the near future.
