It’s only been a month or so since BMW announced a replacement for the 5-Series GT lineup and to add a dash of sportiness you can have your BMW 6-Series GT with M Performance parts.
As you would expect, the M Performance catalogue adds an exhaust silencer made from stainless steel and can be equipped with a circular or trapezoidal tip finished in either lightweight carbon fibre or chrome with the iconic M logo.
Other exterior add-ons include a gloss black double kidney grille, mirror caps finished in matte black, Frozen black matte body wrap, matte grey and black stripes, 21-inch alloys for each corner and enhanced brakes with four-piston red brake calipers attached to ventilated discs.
Of course, the M catalogue couldn’t leave out the interior with offerings ranging from a sportier steering wheel wrapped in silver stitched Nappa leather with a single red stripe, unique floor mats and paddle shifters for the eight-speed automatic transmission.
All the upgrades are merely visual and won’t add additional horsepower to the motors available. Those anticipating an M6 version of the BMW 6-Series GT may be left to imagine the possibilities as the Bavarian manufacturer have no plans to launch a wagon-esque M vehicle for the time being.
Maybe if we regularly email and call them about making one, they’ll do it.
BMW 6-Series GT models are scheduled to launch later this year in November.
