Summer is the season of spy shots anywhere and everywhere around Europe with most manufacturers heading to Germany to use the infamous Nurburgring to test their latest creations. Today’s example is the 2019 BMW X5 SUV.
Looking for a German SUV? Dubicars.com has new BMW X5 and used BMW X5 for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
2019 models will make heavy use of carbon fibre and aluminium to lighten the load and will also incorporate high-strength to improve overall strength to keep all those inside safe. This mix of materials will also be used on the upcoming models of the X3, 5-series and X7 Flagship SUV.
BMW have not just tuned the exterior materials for various benefits, they have also worked on the power units that drive all four wheels. Both the V6 and V8 engines return with enhanced performance and fuel economy. Seeing as four-cylinders are popping up all over the place, expect the German brand to dump one underneath the bonnet. On top of that PHEV models are to return as well.
SUV’s are not to tackle famed racetracks as they are heavy and rather large. That doesn’t mean that they have a sporty nature, take the Range Rover SVR for example. It holds the lap record for stock SUV around the ring.
The next generation of BMW X5 SUV’s is scheduled to launch in 2019 with an unannounced price tag. Once launched, we’ll all wave goodbye after six years of the current generation which is also the same time frame previous iterations of the SUV lasted for.
