With the announcement late last year, the Bugatti Veyron’s successor is destined for showroom floors in 2018, recent reports suggest that the bespoke manufacturer owned by Volkswagen will not be offering a roadster version of the ridiculously quick successor; the Bugatti Chiron.
Veyron models were available with roofless body styles, however, it appears that the upcoming machine which is limited to just 500 units will not be available with a removable roof.
Now this doesn’t mean the hypercar manufacturer isn’t tempted to build a higher performance version of the already powerful vehicle.
Each Chiron model to roll out of the factory is powered by an updated W16 8.0-litre quad turbocharged petrol motor estimated to pump out a whopping 1,500 horsepower! 300 more than the already insane Veyron. Top speed is electronically capped at 420 km/h and with the limiter removed it’s claimed to go much faster, however, we do not advise you do this.
Once launched, Bugatti will once again take to the track and apply all that power to conquer the record books once again.
Due out within the next two years, one example of the Chiron will set you back 2.4 million Euros or AED 9.8 million. If you have that kind of money lying around, better hop to it and get your pre-order in before all units are spoken for if they aren’t already that is. Out of the 500 vehicles, 15 are already confirmed to light up the streets of the UK.
