BMW may have announced that there is a limited edition BMW M5 Pure silver model launching exclusively in America. For those who are disheartened by the news can now breath a little easier as there is another limited edition the way.
Dubbed Competition Edition, just 200 units will exist. Equipped with an M Competition Package, carbon fibre trim pieces provides a sportier look, and each corner is home to 20-inch alloys finished in a dark shade of Jet Black.
The M Package not only includes cosmetic enhancements as underneath are stronger anti-roll bars, harder springs and behind the rims are six-piston brakes painted to match the alloys in front.
Each seat inside is covered in Black Merino leather with contrasting Opal white lining, and each model features a unique plaque with it’s respected build number engraved on it. Other features include navigation, Bluetooth, sunroof and memory options.
Power still comes from a 4.4-litre V8 twin turbocharged petrol engine, and as the US exclusive model receives a 15 hp jump, Competition Edition’s receive the same benefits. 0-100 km/h is achieved in less than 4 seconds and can now reach a top speed exceeding 300 km/h. All thanks to some clever tinkering to the Engine Control Unit.
The price of the vehicle has been announced in the UK with each unit costing around £100,995 (approx. AED 486,444). How far these models will spread across the world is unknown but at least there are more than 50 of them.
