2017, will play host to multiple Audi’s rolling off the production line with trendsetting styling, innovative features and a range of potent engines. First, next-gen Audi A8 models will sport the new design; then the Audi A7 will follow suit shortly after.
And then before the year is done and dusted, 2017 Audi A6 models will roll out and continue it’s fear battle with its rivals i.e. the BMW 5-series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Designed by Marc Lichte, A6 models in next- years trim will sport much more aggression all around inclusive of a brand new hexagonal front grille, new headlights and deeper grooves. In sportier trim, you can expect more of those deeper cuts to be present along with monstrous rear diffusers, front splitters and spoilers as well as a selection of rims.
Audi hasn’t officially announced what drive trains and power plants will be on offer on launch date. Their ingenious Quattro all-wheel drive system will no doubt return with rear-wheel drive trains on offer too. Rumours peg a handful of four, six and eight-cylinder engines are to come back with varying displacements and fuel types. Hybrid versions may be on offer further down the line.
2017 Audi A6 models won’t just look cosmetically different, as the underpinnings are part of Volkswagen’s MLB platform. Constructed from plastic reinforced with carbon fibre, aluminium and high-grade steel, next generation models weigh in significantly less than outgoing models.
2017 models will be available in sedan and estate models.
