Over the years, Abu Dhabi’s resident BMW dealership (Abu Dhabi Motors) has flown in some impressive vehicles over the years, and the latest one to drop by is no exception.
Arriving last week, this unique BMW i8 shifts away from the black, blue, white or grey paint schemes that are standard and is instead dressed in a bright shade of yellow paint. If you think that this is a one off, you in luck as this colour is actually available to apply to the exterior. Even better, this unnamed lick of paint is exclusive to the region.
As you can probably tell by the pictures, Yellow does take up the majority of the surface area. Certain features are painted black; side skirts, front splitter, roof, hood insert and the double kidney front grille. At the rear end, you’ll notice a fixed rear wing also finished in black thanks to tuning house AC Schnitzer.
Even the rims sport the yellow tint, which can be seen surrounding the logo. It’s also worth noting that the entire rear bumper is coated yellow unlike standard models that have a mix of black, blue and white.
And for those wondering, no the interior does not match the exterior. And there are said to be no new fancy features inside.
Unfortunately, it’s just the paint job that is desirable as the engine is still a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine mounted onto an electric drivetrain and generated just over 360 horsepower.
Yellow BMW i8 models are available right now in Abu Dhabi showrooms and holds a price tag of AED 680,000.
