Jetour Shanhai T1
Originally unveiled for the Chinese market in October 2024 under the name Shanhai T1, the SUV is designed as a smaller and more efficient alternative in Jetour’s ‘T’ series of off-road SUVs.
Jetour T1 Size & Dimensions
Measuring 4,706mm in length, 1,967mm in width, and 1,845mm in height, the T1 boasts a wheelbase of 2,810mm — 10mm longer than the T2 despite being 79mm shorter overall. This slight increase in wheelbase should result in increased cabin space while maintaining the compact proportions of an urban-friendly SUV.
Distinctive Design & Bold Aesthetics
The Jetour T1’s boxy silhouette gives it a bold and commanding presence. At the front, square-shaped headlights with four-point LED DRLs are complemented by eight twin LED strips on the grille, creating a distinctive fascia. The tail lamp design echoes the headlamp’s, while the 19-inch petal-shaped alloy wheels add to the SUV’s striking aesthetic appeal.
Engine Options & Performance
2.0 Turbo-Petrol
Initially, the Jetour T1 will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol inline-4 engine, identical to the one found in the Jetour T2. This engine delivers an impressive 252hp and 390Nm, paired with a newly introduced 8-speed automatic transmission. This marks a departure from the 7-speed DCT used in the T2. It might shift gears a bit slower than the DCT, but it just might be a bit smoother.
Upcoming Hybrid Variant
Jetour plans to introduce a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant for the T1 by late 2025. This powertrain will combine a 154hp, 220Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with electric motors and a 26.7kWh battery, offering a pure electric range of up to 150 km. The combined system will provide a range of up to 1,300km. The T1 hybrid will also be more expensive and a bit on the heavier side too.
Jetour T1 Off-Road Ability
While the Jetour T1 is equipped with all-wheel drive (AWD), it is primarily designed for urban mobility and occasional soft-road adventures. Drive modes on offer include Eco, Standard, Sport, Snow, and Sand.

This is paired with six speakers.
Other important features include a flat-bottom steering wheel, ventilated seats, and 50W wireless charging, catering to modern-day connectivity and comfort needs. Passengers will appreciate the spacious cabin, high-quality materials, and thoughtful design elements.
