Looking at what’s been spotted does leave the brain racking. We know that it will bare a similar resemblance to the coupe models. However, this camouflaged version gives off a boxy-er shape at both the front and rear which means the camo is doing its job properly by throwing us all off.
The soft top roof, however, is easy to spot and is said to come in a variety of colours including previous ones like beige, black and red.
E-Class coupe models aren’t due for a few months and don’t carry a price tag as of yet. In the meantime, you can find plenty of new Mercedes-Benz E-Class and used Mercedes-Benz E-Class for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
Much of the interior is identical; this includes the dashboard, steering wheel, centre console and leather upholstery with the only two differences being no optional sunroof and two-seat setup in the rear instead of three.
Don’t expect any changes underneath the bonnet as the usual four and six-cylinder motors power the rear wheels or all four of them. What would make a pleasant surprise, would be a convertible version of the E63 AMG with its mighty 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 pushing out 604 horsepower in top trim. One can dream, right?
Convertible E-Class models will join alongside three other E models; sedan, estate and coupe to bring a total of four unique models to choose from, that is if you ignore the China exclusive long-wheel base version and the CLS-Class as they are based on the same chassis.
