The Sharjah Executive Council announced earlier this week that a 50 per cent discount will be applied on traffic fines and removal of black points starting from April 1st, 2020.
Motorists can avail the discount scheme for the next three months.
The council made the announcement amongst other initiatives to reduce the stress on residents and businesses.
Discounts will be applied to any fine issued before March 31st, 2020.
Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi expressed to all vehicle owners and members of the community to utilise the discount and pay off any remaining fines.
Impouned vehicles due to minor violations are also included.
Al Shamsi also urged motorists to abide traffic laws and not to break them that have been issued to ensure the safety and security of road users and the community.
