The new Fast and Furious 8 – now popularly known as Fast 8 or by its actual title, The Fate of the Furious – will be the latest edition in the Fast and Furious franchise. Written by Chris Morgan, the 8th installment will be directed by F. Gary Gray based on characters by Gary Scott Thompson.
There is one very important question regarding the Fast and Furious 8. What will be the fate of Paul Walker’s character? This question was answered by Universal Pictures Vice-Chairman, Ron Meyer. He says the Paul Walker’s character will be featured in the movie in some form or another.
Recently, Dame Helen Mirren was offered a role in Fast 8 and she accepted on the condition that she would be allowed to drive the cars herself.
The cast for Fast and Furious 8 includes Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, Jason Statham and Chris “Ludacris” Bridges.
Part of the previous installment was shot in Abu Dhabi, but this time the chosen exotic location is Cuba. However, the main production is set in Atlanta Georgia.
The total value of all cars that will be used in the movie is more than $17 million. The Fast and Furious 8 is scheduled to release on April 14, 2017.
