The time has come to say goodbye to the iconic Beetle as Volkswagen has announced, the 2019 Volkswagen Beetle will be the last.
To mark the occasion, VW has revealed a Final Edition of the 2019 Volkswagen Beetle which is available as either convertible or a coupe and draws inspiration for the 2003 VW Beetle Last Edtion which celebrated the end of the first-generation Beetle production in South America (Mexico).
The 2003 models were only available in light blue and beige, so it’s only fitting that these colours can be applied to the latest Final Edition. This time they are called Safari Uni and Stonewashed Blue; and are joined by other colours including Deep Black Pearl, Pure White and Platinum Grey.
The 2019 Volkswagen Beetle Final Edition is available in two flavours. Starting with the SE; drivers can look forward to body-colour matching mirrors, a sunroof (Coupe only), 17-inch alloys, stainless steel pedals, automatic climate control and ambient lighting.
Other highlights include a 6.3-inch media infotainment system, push-start engine button and keyless entry.
The second option is the SEL trim and is more luxurious as it comes with Bi-Xenon headlights, diamond stitched leather seats, a navigation system andFender sound system.
On top of that, both the SE and SEL Final Edition models will bare a unique badge attached to the rear and replaces the Turbo badge.
No matter what 2019 Volkswagen Beetle you desire, all are fitted with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine good for 174 horsepower and 249 Nm of torque and is exclusively mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
