BMW and Toyota are working in conjunction to create both the new Supra and the 2019 BMW Z4. We’ve seen the Supra a dozen times if not more, but BMW’s upcoming model, only the concept has been shown off. That is until SupraMVK managed to find three pictures of the latest Z-Series model.
Starting with the front end, the new Z4 mimics the concept model with the slim and wide signature double-kidney front grille and eye-catching headlights. The air intakes are smaller compared to the concept, but the production version has bold lines and sharp creases in the front bumper.
Around the back, the model wears a sleek pair of taillights similar to that of the upcoming BMW 8-series, and as with the front end, the rear also benefits from sharp lines.
Moving onto the side profile, the new 2019 BMW Z4 sits on dark gloss alloy rims and angular lines. There are also air outlets behind the front wheels.
The leaked images also appear to confirm the model will be offered as a soft-top.
The leaked images appear to be of the 2019 BMW Z4 M40i and as previous reports have suggested, underneath the bonnet is a 3.0-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder engine rated at 380 horsepower and will sit at the top of the trim ladder.
Not only will the M40i be fitted with the most powerful engine available, but it will also benefit from a high-performance braking system, electronically controlled dampers, a bespoke front axle and locking rear differential.
BMW has remained tight-lipped about the 2019 BMW Z4 launch date, but it’s believed they will unveil the model later this month at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
