Entering a new model year, the 2019 Jaguar F-Type receives a host of minor changes including a slew of name changes. Sources indicate the model is destined for showrooms as early as May in select markets and will cost slightly more compared to the last years model.
Starting from the entry model which is now known as the P300. Drivers can look forward to a familiar 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine good for 296 horsepower and 399 Nm of torque. Mated exclusively to an eight-speed automatic gearbox driving the rear axle, this allows the model to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds.
Up next is the P340 trim, this version features a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 rated at 340 horses and 449 Nm of torque. As standard, a manual transmission drives the rear end but an automatic gearbox is optionally available.
Replacing the F-Type S is the 2019 Jaguar F-Type P380. This variant receives an identical motor to the P340 but is slightly tuned to push out 380 hp and 459 Nm of torque.
Last but certainly not least is the F-Type 400 Sport which replaces the F-Type R. Sitting atop the food chain, this version boasts a fire-breathing 5.0-litre supercharged V8 petrol motor rated at 550 horsepower and 679 Nm of torque. Equipped as standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the 400 launches from 0-100 km/h in a swift 4.1 seconds before hitting a top speed of 299 km/h.
