It seems there is still life in the 370Z lifecycle after all. Introduced nine years ago, the 2018 Nissan 370Z Nismo returns for another year.
What to expect from the 2018 Nissan 370Z Nismo
Staying true to its motorsport heritage, the 2018 Nissan 370Z Nismo is equipped with red and black Recaro leather-appointed seats with Alcantara accents and is completed with a wide range of creature comfort and safety options.
The 2018 Nissan 370Z Nismo draws power from a 3.7-litre DOHC V6 petrol engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control. 350 horsepower at 7,400 rpm and 374 Nm of torque at 5,200 rpm races its way to the rear axle an 18 hp increase compared to the base model.
Nismo engineers have optimised the intake valve’s open/close movements to ensure airflow is not disrupted for optimal performance. They’ve also applied their wealth of knowledge to calibrate the Engine Control Module (ECM) and muffler tuning.
Customers can choose between a 7-speed automatic transmission or a more engaging 6-speed manual.
WIth the 2018 Nissan 370Z Nismo back for another year, there are three unique Nismo models on offer including the legendary GT-R and the regional exclusive Patrol Nismo.
Other parts of the world have a broader range of Nismo vehicles including the Sentra, Leaf, Juke and Rogue.
As of writing, no price is available for the 2018 Nissan 370Z Nismo.
Regarding a successor, it remains a mystery as Nissan has yet to confirm one is on the way.
