After months of anticipation, a number of concept drawings and a quick trailer, the new Lexus UX crossover has finally been revealed ahead of its global debut in Geneva next month.
Set to take up centre stage on the 6th of March, Lexus latest addition to the family is an angular crossover aimed towards younger buyers. Fitted with the signature Lexus spindle front grille, sleek sets of adaptive headlights flank either side. Moving further along, prominent grooves flow towards the rear end with bright alloys adoring each corner.
Without out a doubt, the most attractive part of the new Lexus can be found adorning the rear end. An extended LED light strip stretches from either side and connects the two rear tail lights.
A short fly through the cabin has also surfaced showing off the two-row seating arrangement for up to five occupants. Additionally, the new UX will also sport a new large multimedia interface with what appears to be an analogue clock on the left side.
Whose the new Lexus UX up against?
With the compact crossover market booming across the globe, brands from all walks of life have already made their mark on the industry. The shortlist include the Infiniti QX30, Mercedes GLA-Class, BMW X1 and Audi Q3 amongst others.
Lexus has yet to reveal powertrain options. Seeing as the UX250 and UX250h marque has been registered, it’s likely a four-cylinder turbo motor hides beneath its eye-catching bodywork with a hybrid version present in the h version.
