Polaris has revealed the 2018 Slingshot, with plenty of new tech inside, the manufacturer will add a special edition to the lineup to spice things up.
Now standard on select models is a 7-inch Ride Command multimedia system with Bluetooth connectivity and USB inputs. Meanwhile, higher trim levels benefit from navigation. These options are not available on entry level slingshots.
Alongside, the 2018 Slingshot lineup is joined by a new trim level; SLR LE. With this model, you get sports seats, unique exterior graphics and a 200 watt Rockford Fosgate premium sound system to go with the enhanced media system.
Underneath, Polaris has fitted adjustable Bilstein suspension, and customers can have their SLR LE covered in a two-tone paint scheme consisting of Ghost Grey and Lime-Squeeze highlights.
Polaris says the SLR LE 2018 Slingshot is a limited edition but have yet to reveal how many they plan to build.
Power remains to be drawn from a 2.4-litre four cylinder motor that drives the single rear wheel. Rated at 173 horsepower and 224 Nm of torque, which is enough to move the 2018 Slingshot to 100 km/h in around five seconds.
2018 models are destined for American showrooms later this year with a base price of $19,999 or AED 73,458, SL models start at $25,499 or AED 93,6636, and SLR models retail at $28,999 or AED 106,516. Limited Edtion 2018 Slingshot SLR LE trikes start at $30,999 or AED 113,862.
UAE customers may have to wait a while for the 2018 Slingshot to arrive in dealerships.
