BMW may be focused on CS versions of their powerful coupe models with the M2 and M4 leaving M3 sedan fans feeling left out. Fret no more as the Bavarian manufacturer are quietly working on a BMW M3 CS to join the ranks in 2018.
Similar to that of its CS companions, the BMW M3 CS will feature lightweight benefits to save weight including heavy use of carbon fibre most notably used in construction for the hood, diffuser, front lip and spoiler.
OLED headlights will also transition their way too highlighting the sedan’s front end on either side of the iconic black double kidney front grille. It won’t be a surprise if carbon ceramic brakes are on the options list along with dark alloy rims.
Inside, expect other CS goodness to filter across including the Alcantara wrapped steering wheel completed with subtle 12 O’clock stripe, bucket seats, Alcanata and leather wrapped interior and carbon fibre trim along with other premium features.
We also expect the weight saving door handle strap releases to appear at least for front passengers.
BMW M3 CS models will be fitted with a potent straight-six twin-turbocharged petrol motor rated at an impressive 454 horsepower. With that many horses running through the engine, this version of the M3 will be the most powerful to date surpassing that of the E92 M3 GTS which debuted back in 2009.
Reports have the BMW M3 CS going on sale in early 2018.
Dubicars.com has used BMW 3-series for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi.
