Lexus said to be working on hardcore LC F

Launching around the world just a few months ago, Lexus LC Coupe lineup is certainly an eye-catching piece of kit. While it looks fantastically fast, some might say it’s not fast or hardcore enough. If you’re one of those people, Lexus has an answer for you with the LC F.

In current form, the Lexus LC 500 is no slouch. Powered by a 5-litre V8 petrol motor rated at a respectable 471 horsepower. In order to do battle with the Nissan GT-R, sources have the hardcore LC F trade in the naturally aspirated unit for a 4-litre twin-turbo unit to punch out a hearty 600 hp.

However, power won’t be the only factor Lexus has to undertake to be a worthy competitor.

They’ll have to shed some weight from the bulky LC Coupe to be competitive. As it stands, the LC tips the scales at 1,941 kilos! Base models of the GTR weigh in almost 200 kilos less and only gets lighter in NISMO, and other racing inspired trims.

Lexus is doing a fantastic job keeping the LC F out of the public’s eye as no official pictures or teasers have surfaced, but that doesn’t stop the rumour mill from churning out information including a release window having the LC F launching in 2019.

We’ll keep our fingers crossed that the Lexus LC F rendering making the rounds is bang on in terms of exterior styling.

Dubicars.com has new Lexus and used Lexus for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.
