2018 Honda Accord to receive major improvements

Still a major player in the mid-sized sedan market around the world, the 2018 Honda Accord will enter its 10-generation with major upgrades.

With 40 years of experience around the world, It’s not just exterior improvements for the 2018 Accord; there’s plenty of upgrades elsewhere including its powertrain.

Heavy camouflage covers the 2018 Honda Accord’s exterior leaving us to wonder what’s to come in terms of design. We do know that the vehicle will sit lower and wider giving the model a striking appearance.

Aside from the significant exterior improvements, Honda offers three engines for the 2018 Honda Accord. Two of those are 2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder motors mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The final gearbox is a 1.5-litre straight four mated to a CVT or six-speed manual. The latter transmission can be had with the turbocharged units too.

Make note that the V6 is omitted from the 2018 Honda Accord lineup leaving the 2017 lineup ‘the last of its kind.’ These engines have been confirmed for the US. Similar to the GCC version of the Honda CRV, 2018 Accord models could retain last years motors.

Front-wheel drive will be standard across the board. While the coupe version hasn’t been confirmed either we can’t see the Japanese brand giving the boot to the two door model.

2018 Honda Accord models are to launch later this year with an unconfirmed price as of now. We expect more information about the improvements and a full reveal before the successful model launches.

Dubicars.com has new Honda Accord and used Honda Accord for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.
