With the Toyota FJ Cruiser now officially out of production around the world, Toyota is in need of something to fill the void. With that in mind, the recently showcased Toyota FT-4X could fill that gap at one point.
Previously, Toyota mentioned the FT-4X was merely just a concept to showcase the future of the brand, the Cheif designer of the Toyota FT-4X says it’s 75% production ready.
But what does that mean? There is a chance we could see the quirky off-roader navigating the sands of the UAE in the near future with some minor revisions of course.
There may be a slight problem though, Toyota has recently launched an angular crossover called the C-HR. Based on the TNGA platform as is the Toyota FT-4X, the Japanese brand could come to a road block down the line.
Then again, Toyota C-HR is available in select markets with the Middle East not being one of them, and there is no doubt we are all aching inside for an FJ Cruiser successor. Both vehicles also sport their own unique flair. It’s also worth noting that the FT-4X bears a larger interior than the crossover.
Underneath the bonnet is a four-cylinder motor with a low displacement powering all four wheels making the FT-4X a more capable off-roader than the C-HR.
Until we can officially confirm the launch of the Toyota FT-4X, we’ve got plenty of new Toyota FJ Cruiser and used Toyota FJ Cruiser for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi.
