After months of teasers and spy shots from around the world, the German manufacturer has finally confirmed the BMW M4 CS existence, and it’s coming later this year or sometime next year.
Drawing inspiration from the M4 GTS, the BMW M4 CS ships with a number of weight-saving elements. This includes the use of carbon fibre reinforced plastic to construct the roof, rear spoiler, front splitter and diffuser.
Inside, BMW has stripped out the “bulky” door trims and fitted light weight ones with door pull loops to save up to 32 kilos. That includes the exterior too.
Power is drawn from a 3-litre twin-turbocharged petrol motor that has been tuned to deliver 454 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. An increase of 29 hp over standard models and ten hp higher than Competition Package M4’s.
Mated to a dual-clutch seven-speed auto gearbox, BMW M4 CS models can propel from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
Optional options for the feisty German coupe include larger brake calipers with carbon ceramic brakes, larger roll bars, stiffer suspension and dampers plus Competition Package tailpipes and 19-inch front and 20-inch rear tyres.
Those of you interested in buying a BMW M4 CS can choose from a variety of fresh paint schemes including Alpine White, San Marino Blue Metallic, Frozen Dark Blue Metallic II, Lime Rock Grey Metallic and Sapphire Black Metallic.
In Europe, prices start at €116,900 or AED 460,655. Unlike the M4 GTS, the Germans haven’t stated if this will be a limited production run vehicle. However, sources claim that production of the BMW M4 CS will stop in the middle of 2018.
Until the BMW M4 CS launches, we’ve got plenty of plucky new BMW 4-series and used BMW 4-series for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
