Sport cars may be what you think of when someone asks you what vehicle can accelerate to 100 km/h in four seconds or less. Now you can shock those people with the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
Now I know you were wondering how on earth the bulky SUV is going to achieve that sprint time. It’s simple, as GM owns Jeep, they’ve heard about the Dodge Challenger/Charger Hellcat and simply asked to borrow a unit or two.
Yep, that’s right; the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee will pack a 6.2-litre V8 supercharged motor with 707 horsepower on tap!
AS the title suggests, this beastly SUV can accelerate to 100 km/h in a heart-stopping 3.7 seconds. That puts the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk ahead of the Range Rover Sport SVR, BMW X5 M and Porsche Cayenne Turbo S.
And it’s not only SUV’s the Trackhawk can out accelerate Porsche 911 R’s, Mercedes-Benz SLR and Lexus LFA just to name a few. Remember, not only can the 2018 Trackhawk out accelerate those three sport cars, but it can also shuttle people to the airport or school and haul a trailer.
What does this mean for the SRT model? Don’t worry, Jeep plans to keep that model too for those who may be scared of the Trackhawk’s sharp talons.
We expect more information, as well as a price and launch date at this week’s New York Motor, show that starts on Tuesday.
Until then, you’ll have to get yourself a new Jeep Grand Cherokee and used Jeep Grand Cherokee for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
