AMG are certainly working their through the Mercedes lineup. Literally, every Class in the german brand has some sort of AMG aid and the latest model to join the ranks is the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63.
Three variants of the GLC 63 are said to be available with the standard version, Coupe model and S Coupe variant. All three versions are powered by the same 4-litre BiTurbo V8 but with different power outputs.
Standard SUV and Coupe models pack 469 horses underneath the bonnet with 649 Nm or torque whereas the S model ships with 503 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque.
All are mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox controlling all four wheels via the brand’s token 4Matic system and limited-slip rear differentials. Top of the range models benefits from an electronic unit whereas base and middle tiers receive mechanical units.
Three-chamber air suspension and adaptive dampers are standard on all three models and can be controlled by the drive mode selector. Depending on the mode selected, shift patterns of the gearbox will also change.
Exterior wise, GLC 63 models benefit from the same front grille as the AMG GT R, quad exhaust tips sticking out of the rear end, meaning diffuser and additional wheel arch cladding measuring larger than normal.
As with other vehicles that have recently been announced, Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 models are set to strut their stuff at next week’s New York Motor Show.
Until the GLC 63 makes its official debut later this year, we’ve got plenty of new Mercedes-Benz and used Mercedes-Benz for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi.
