With Mitsubishi recently announcing the return of the Eclipse nameplate to be applied to an SUV instead of the coupe, the Japanese brand is also applying updates to one of their SUV’s already in its line up with the 2018 Outlander.
The Japanese brand has applied slight changes to the 2018 Outlander with a new front and rear bumper with the former having LED daytime running lights embedded.
Inside, the models receive a new gear lever, seven-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a new floor console.
Mitsubishi is also offering an optional touring package which adds plenty of premium options. Just to name a few: Panoramic sunroof, forward collision detection, rear camera, automatic high beam, lane keep assist and various other improvements to the cabin to reduce noise.
There are no known power changes to the vehicles line up. This allows both the 2-litre and 2.4-litre petrol motor four-cylinder model to continue into the 2018 Outlander lineup rated at 148 and 168 horsepower respectively.
CVT transmission’s return and will also be made optionally for those seeking the 2-litre motor to control the front wheels. The CVT is standard across the rest of the lineup.
After its grand debut in New York, 2018 Outlander models are set to go on sale later this year and will also mark the debut of a new shade of paint known as Alloy Silver to join the ranks.
