After debuting almost three years ago, the Volkswagen T-Roc is coming and has its eyes firmly locked onto other similar crossovers including the Nissan Juke and its successor; Nissan Kicks plus the Jeep Renegade amongst others.
Volkswagen T-Roc is expected to launch in Europe later this year with sources indicating as early as August will mark its debut. Other markets such as the US and the Middle East would follow shortly afterwards.
Despite its immense popularity, Volkswagen has yet to reveal any information of the T-Roc. We know it’s on its way but what lies underneath?
We can expect four-cylinder petrol and diesel motors with various displacements and outputs mated to automatic gearboxes. AWD is optional with front wheel drive as standard.
How close it will resemble the two door convertible concept we were treated to three years ago also remains a mystery. It’s safe to say; the Volkswagen T-Roc won’t come as a Cabrio as they tend not to fare well in the crossover segment.
Seeing as it’s main rivals all have four doors, we’d expect Volkswagen to squeeze two extra doors to the rear to accommodate five passengers.
This isn’t the only SUV/crossover Volkswagen have up their sleeve as the German brand as the Tiguan Allspace and Atlas on the way with the latter serving as a new model to rival the Mazda CX-9, Ford Explorer and other similar SUV’s.
Until the vehicle launches around the world, we’ve got new Volkswagen and used Volkswagen for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi.
