Mercedes-AMG Project One gets price tag

Aston Martin has officially changed the name of their hypercar to Valkyrie but as of Geneva, the Mercedes-AMG Project one has been given a price tag, and it’s cheaper than you think.

A single unit of the Mercedes-AMG Project one hypercar will set you back roughly $2.4-million or AED 8,815,200 which is slightly less than the monstrous Bugatti Chiron.

Instead of a large V12 motor with a massive displacement, Mercedes AMG has taken a different route to power. Instead, the German manufacturer has dropped a smaller 1.6-litre V6 with some sort of insane turbocharged induction to allow the engine to spin at 11,000 rpm.

Mercedes-AMG hasn’t pinpointed exactly how powerful their engine will be, but they have stated the vehicle will boast over 1,000 horsepower.

Mercedes will also utilise a few electrical components from Formula One and by a few, which includes the split turbo, front axle driven by electric motors, battery cells and crank motor.

Before the Mercedes-AMG Project one blasts its way into showrooms shortly, Mercedes are planning a small road trip to the Nurburgring. This will allow them to gain valuable knowledge as well as post a menacing lap time.

At CES earlier this year Mercedes-AMG Project one debuted behind closed doors. Later this year, the world will be treated to the hypercar’s sleek appearance and state of the art power plant at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September.

Until then, we’ve got new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT and used Mercedes-Benz AMG GT for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
