Geneva motor show may be where it’s all happening in the motoring word right now. Hyundai decided to stay home for a few days to reveal the updated 2018 Hyundai Sonata.
With a fresh new face, the popular sedan makes use of the brands striking front grille. Now with vertical LED daytime running lights placed on either side with reshaped headlights and new creases appearing on the hood.
Along either side, you’ll notice new lines as well that give the vehicle a tantalising appearance. To complete the look, new 17-inch rims are standard with 18-inch ones been optionally available.
Upon entering the 2018 Sonata, redesigned air conditioning vents are visible as are new buttons for the audio and air flow system. Centrally mounted is a 7-inch display for media purposes with an 8-inch one available as an extra.
The model also benefits from an updated steering wheel with top trim models receiving a flat bottom one. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto both make their debut with wireless smartphone functions found inside the vehicle as is a new USB charge port.
New safety features make their way into the 2018 Hyundai Sonata including blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, high beam assist, lane keep assist and dynamic bending lights.
With the 2018 Hyundai Sonata officially launched in South Korea, the US will be receiving the model in April with the rest of the world including GCC nations bringing the vehicle in shortly after that.
Make not, that these details are for the South Korean versions. Expect minor changes for GCC spec cars.
Until then, we’ve got plenty of new Hyundai Sonata and used Hyundai Sonata for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Abu Dhabi.
