We’re used to finding one teaser image of an upcoming refreshed vehicle. But Hyundai is doing something a little different with the 2018 Hyundai Accent by not just releasing one but eight teasers and a video before its grand debut.
From the three teasers, one shows off the front end which appears to be borrowed from the 2017 Hyundai Elantra with sharper headlights compared to current models. Plus there is the addition of LED’s lining either side.
Around the back, LED headlights light up our eyes by surrounding standard bulb lights.
As for the rest of the exterior, nothing sticks out as a new design, just minor tweaks to add a smarter look.
Not much is known inside the 2018 Hyundai Accent. We expect a vast improvement. On top of the AUX and USB inputs in current models, we’d like to see Android Auto, Apple Carplay, Bluetooth, backup camera and cruise control, etc.
Powering the front wheels is said to be the current 1.6-litre four-cylinder motor found in 2017 Accent models, but we can’t ignore the possibility of a more powerful engine in the guise of a 1.4-liter turbocharged unit mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox with manual models available in select regions.
The 2018 Hyundai Accent is expected to be revealed in full at the Toronto Motor Show next week. These images sprouted up just as a heavily disguised version was spotted roaming the streets of San Fransisco.
Until then, we’ve got new Hyundai Accent and used Hyundai Accent for sale in Dubai and Sharjah.
