No need to adjust your eyes, you certainly not looking at a raised A 45 AMG. Instead, you’re looking at it’s taller brother, and this is the updated version. Wearing what is known as a performance Studio Package, this GLA 45 AMG is ready to rock your world.
Late last year, we received wind of an update to be applied to the entire GLA range inclusive of LED headlights, new bumpers as well as upgraded interior even though it still may be a tight squeeze inside.
Gone is the small obscure multimedia screen. In its place is an 8-inch display for all your media needs. On top of that, power seat switches are now finished silver chrome.
On top of the cosmetic upgrades, AMG models benefit from an enhanced 2-litre four cylinder turbocharged motor that now produces an impressive 375 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds!
On top of the new face and engine for the GLA 45 AMG, Mercedes have added an additional kit known as the Studio Performance package. Adding bright yellow highlights to the side skirts, rims, rear spoiler and mirror caps. An off centre set of white stripes are also evident.
Not a fan of the yellow stripes, a Night Edition package is also available with Graphite Grey lines to complement the Night Black and Cosmos Black paint.
GLA 45 models start at a base price of around 59,924 USD or AED 220,088 and only go up from there if you decide to buy the AMG version and the additional packages.
