In just two years time we’ll see the 2018 BMW X5 on the streets of the UAE, but just before then, the German brand has been spotted putting the luxury SUV on the road with camo of course. However, looks as ready as ever.
Unlike the recently spied 2018 Mercedes-Benz CLS, this luxury is only wearing a slim layer of black and white swirls which leads us to believe the 2018 model is ready to hit showrooms.
2018 BMW X5 models will utilise the exact underpinnings of the 5-Series and 7-Series vehicles which equates to the models weighing in at anywhere between 250 to 300 kilos lighter than current models.
As with current X5 models, both the V6 and V8 motor will be available in both petrol and diesel intakes. It’s also stated that a plug-in hybrid version is in the works.
The icing on the cake comes from BMW adding the M touch to the 2018 BMW X5 lineup which is expected to use a similar powertrain found on the upcoming M5 sedan. Complete with a 4.4-litre V8 with twin-turbo induction rated at 600 horsepower.
As previously mentioned, the 2018 BMW X5 is expected to launch in 2018 which is to be followed my the brand’s new flagship model, the BMW X7.
Looking for luxury German SUV? We’ve got new BMW X5 and used BMW X5 for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
There are also steady rumours stating that the 2018 BMW X5 is set to receive some sort of autonomous features which certainly is a feature we’re looking forward too.
