Maserati Alfieri to go electric in 2020

After numerous reports about the Maserati Alfieri’s delayed production, it appears the Italian brand has shifted their attention from not just implementing a petrol powertrain; there are also talks of an exciting all-electric model to boot.

Still in its concept phase which by the way still looks breathtaking even after two years. Base models are to be powered by a V6 motor with three power outputs. 410, 450 and 520 horsepower are the choices, and we expect much more from the all-electric motor. Rear wheel drive is to be standard with the potential of all-wheel drive to be made available at some point.

Liquid guzzling Maserati Alfieri models are scheduled to launch in 2019 with the electric versions set to launch the following year in 2020. Although the concept has repeatedly been shown off as a coupe. For those out there carving for some drop top fun, the Maserati Alfieri will also be available as a soft-top convertible.

Looking for an exquisite Italian vehicle? We’ve got new Maserati and used Maserati for sale in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

Based on an all-new platform, the Maserati Alfieri is to borrow many components from the luscious Ghibli sedan. This will, of course, include Maserati’s dashboard and premium media system complete with high-end features along with those desirable comfortable seats. Seating arrangements haven’t been clarified, however, it’s safe to say two or four seats would fit.

Once the vehicle hits the market in just under four years time, it’ll be the brand’s first electric vehicle. That is if they don’t consider an electric version of the Quattroporte or newly launched Levante.
