Just a few days ago, we witnessed Lamborghini snap up the Aventador S nameplate, in this latest edition of who has patented what, BMW have snapped up the ‘CS’ moniker. Could this reveal that the German brand is ready to release overpowered versions of the M cars?
This is most certainly a fantastic thing to look forward to. As not only do BMW M vehicles sport powerful engines, unique bodywork and the latest technology, the CS or Clubsport Models are to take on all that plus additional flair.
This new patent can be backed up by recent sightings of both a spiced up version of the BMW M4 and M2 with both wearing camo at each end, unique rims and a larger rear spoiler mounted on the boot lid. Furthermore, these models have not only been spotted on public roads but the Nurburgring as well.
With these two having being spied, we expect them to bear the CS moniker. The patent has also revealed that the M4 and M2 are not the only vehicles to receive the treatment as the German auto manufacturer has also bought out the badge starting from M1 CS all the way through to M8 CS.
When exactly the brand plans to release these updated models is unknown and just how much of a difference there is to be between the models is unclear. All we know is that they will be bigger, badder and stronger than ever before.
