2018 Mercedes-Benz E 63 models can hit 0-100 in less than 3.5 seconds!

2018 Mercedes-Benz E63 models are set to go on sale in March across Europe and launch shortly after in other markets including the GCC. Only the four-door model has been confirmed as of now. However, the brand has confirmed a wagon is to follow which makes at least one of us happy!

Gone is the brutal 5.5-litre V8 turbocharged petrol engine and in its place is an equally powerful if not insane 4-litre V8 petrol engine which is also turbocharged and tweaked by AMG to produce an astonishing 563 horsepower to all four wheels as standard.

With an electronically capped top speed of 250 km/h, the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E 63 can literally fly from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds! Not fast enough? The enhanced S version can do it in 3.3 seconds! Aside from being absolutely bonkers, that’s quicker than a Lamborghini Huracan Spyder! If 250 km/h isn’t fast enough, an optional AMG Drivers Package is available which allows for an additional 50 km/h bringing the vehicles top speed to 300 km/h.

It’s not all about brute force with the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E 63 as the hair-raising beast features cylinder deactivation where four of the cylinders are shut down in select drive modes to save a splash of fuel. Then there is the previously announced dedicated drift mode for those brave enough to let the rear end slip out.

Of course, all of this can’t be built onto an ordinary chassis, so AMG have worked night and day to upgrade the frame that includes new suspension, finely tuned Air Body Control System, multi-stage electronic stability assist and electromechanical speed-sensitive sports steering.

Riding on a set of 19-inch rims or 20’s if you buy S model, the vehicle’s brakes have to been upgraded to stop all that brute force.
