Last year, the luscious Italian brand known as Lamborghini launched not only a drop top version of the gorgeous Huracan but a rear wheel drive version of the hardtop version. However, the two were not combined until today a year later where the Huracan Spyder rear wheel drive model has been announced.
There is nothing wrong with the all-wheel drive, and everyone loves it, but there is still a market for the purists out there that want full control of the rear end even with the sports car being controlled by a seven-speed dual clutch transmission with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel for hand timed shifts.
Powering the Huracan Spyder rear wheel drive model is the same fire-breathing 5.2-litre V10 petrol engine rated at over 570 horsepower. 0-100 is achieved in 3.6 seconds, and its top speed is capped at around 320 km/h. Additionally, the roof can be retracted at speeds of up to 50 km/h and takes just 17 seconds to complete.
There are minor modifications to the vehicles exterior. For example, the front end features larger fins for an aggressive vibe and around the back a new bumper has been fitted along with other slight modifications.
Huracan Spyder rear wheel model is set to go on sale around the world sometime in January 2017 and is said to hold a price tag somewhere between the rear wheel and four wheel drive hard top models.
