2017 Nissan Micra shown off in full

Earlier in the year, the 2017 Nissan Micra was spotted testing in eye-straining camouflage. As of the Paris Motor Show, that’s all changed as Nissan has officially unveiled the hatchback.

Sporting a whole new exterior which is far superior when it comes to design and is sure to bring in more sales due to the new aggression the hatchback gives off. The brand’s iconic “V” shaped front grille is present along with restyled headlights and fancier rims.

The interior also received a major overhaul and is now more inviting than ever before. Navigation, Bluetooth, media inputs, premium sound system, digital air conditioning, a multi-function steering wheel, Apple Car Play and keyless start are all available at an extra cost, and that’s just inside.

In regards to exterior features, blind spot detection mirrors, parking sensors, lane departure assist and traffic sign recognition.

Next generation Micra models will receive Active Ride Control along with electric power steering to enhance handling and reduce understeer.

Powering the front wheels is a 0.9-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol motor mated to either a manual or automatic transmission rated at 90 horsepower, but there is also a naturally aspirated 1-litre unit as well that is rated at 73 horsepower instead. Which engine we’ll get here is unknown, only time will tell.

No price point for the 2017 Nissan Micra has been announced however sales are to start in early 2017 in Europe. When that date arrives, Toyota better have a new Yaris up their sleeve!
