Dodge adds addtional trims to 2017 lineup

Two iconic nameplates are returning to adorn both the 2017 Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger; Daytona and T/A respectively. If you are a die hard fan of muscle cars, you know exactly what these two names mean.

2017 Charger’s will once again embrace the Daytona nameplate just this time around; the massive rear spoiler is not part of the options list. However, you do receive a 2.75-inch electronically controlled active exhaust, lowered suspension with Bilstein shocks on each corner, and a drive mode selector for optimal sound and ride quality.

Exclusively powering the rear wheels is a choice between a single 5.7-litre V8 HEMI engine or a more brutal 6.4-litre V8 mated to an 8-speed auto for a 0-100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds! Opting for the additional displacement will net you larger Brembo brakes and sleeker rims covered in 20-inch performance rubber.

2017 Challenger models also receive a throwback badge; T/A and is available in various packages. Exterior wise, a unique hood scoop sprouts out of the bonnet and an intake system wedged behind the headlights. Identical options from the Daytona are found on the T/A too.

Inside the two models, optional Nappa leather can be applied to all five seats of both models as well as a Uconnect infotainment system with an 8.4-inch screen with a variety of applications.

As with the four-door model, both engines can be placed in the engine bay. However, unlike the Charger, Challenger T/A models can be had with a six-speed manual as well a the auto transmission.
