Not too long ago, images surfaced of an odd looking 911 GT3. While some were left baffled, rumours started to circulate that it is a new version of the sports car simply known as the 911 GT3 Touring Package and having being spotted three times, this certainly is not a one off model.
Gone is the enlarged rear spoiler and instead, this model borrows the 911 R’s automated spoiler. That’s not the only body panel it borrows from the ultra rare model, as the rear diffuser is identical too.
Elsewhere, the 911 GT3 Touring Package is identical to the stock 911 GT3. Although there are some unique points to this vehicle including the chrome trim highlighting the windows.
Inside is a whole different story though. Rumour has it, this model doesn’t have the standard two seat setup we’re used to and will instead feature a rear bench allowing for not just two people to enjoy Porsche’s finest.
Power is expected to be drawn from a traditional flat-six cylinder 4-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor rated at 500 horsepower. This allows the model to launch to 100 in a lightning quick 3.2 seconds before hitting a top speed of 320+ km/h.
Porsche are said to be revealing the vehicle in full at next months Frankfurt Motor Show. Standard Porsche 911 GT3 models are currently rolling out across Europe, and this next variation should follow shortly afterwards.
We’re not too sure how much the new package will cost though.
