Earlier this month, Kia Middle East launched the 2021 Kia Optima in the market with the K5 moniker – a name exclusively used only in the Korean market. The new saloon benefits from a fastback profile with sleek lines.
Designed by all three Kia design studios in Europe, Korea and North American, the 2021 Kia optima embraces the latest Kia design language and takes a leap forward from the outgoing model.

Not does it receive a sleeker profile for the new model year, the proportions are bigger. Measuring in at 4,905mm in length, its 50mm compared to the 2020 version. The wheelbase is also longer (now 2,580mm) and overall, the saloon sits 20mm lower allowing for a sportier presence.
Along with the exterior upgrade, comes with a driver-focused interior, modern technology and new engine options.
On the safety front, the 2021 Kia Optima gets an array of active and passive driver and safety assist systems to ensure the safety of occupants and pedestrians.
Kia’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) includes blind-spot view monitor, smart cruise control, highway driving assist, lane following assist, blind-spot collision-avoid assist and driver attention warning.
Amidst the safety tech, is voice recognition software allowing drives to instruct the car to adjust several features including climate control, windows and the audio system.
The cabin can be equipped with an optional 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system complete with audio-visual navigation, and Kia’s new 12.3-inch high-res digital gauge cluster. An 8-inch heads-up display is on. the list too.
Along with Kia, Skoda and Toyota have also recently launched vehicle quietly over the past few months.
Prices in the UAE start at AED 72,900. The 2021 Kia Optima is available Oman, KSA, Kuwait and Jordan.
