2021 BMW 5-series leaks online with a mild facelift

While not exactly ageing rapidly, BMW has plans to introduce a facelifted 2021 BMW 5-Series sometime in the near future. Spy photographers have snapped numerous images of the model, but none have been as revealing as these.

Images of the updated 5-series have surfaced on Germancarforum depicting what to expect from the mid-sized luxury saloon.

For those who were concerned if the massive grille would make an appearance, that doesn’t appear to be the case as the images show a slightly larger kidney grille compared to the 2020 model and is more in line with the latest 3-series design.

It’s a lot smaller compared to the 7-Series.

Around the back, the 2021 gets a new bumper with refined edges while the lower diffuser appears sportier compared to the outgoing model. Upon further inspection, the boot lid is also different.

As for the taillights, instead of an L-shape pattern, the newest 5-series rear light graphics curl around in the shape of a hook.

It’s not known when BMW plans to officially reveal the 2021 BMW 5-Series, but with these leaks out in the open, they might have to unveil sooner rather than later.

There is one last question we have. Does the facelifted 5-series have what it takes to rival the revised Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the all-new A6?

Dubicars has new BMW 5-Series and used BMW 5-Series for sale in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ajman.
