The official reveal of the 2020 Toyota Supra is penned down for early next year at the North American International Motor Show, but it looks like someone at Toyota just couldn’t wait.
According to sources, these two pictures come courtesy of Toyota Germany after they signed up to join the Supra waiting list.
The front end of the new Supra sports a slim set of LED headlights and three large air intakes. Moving further back, lightweight rims are visible with a high-performance braking system lurking behind. The roof has two bulges (double bubble) and either side sport aerodynamic side skirts.
As for the rear, and F1-inspired brake central brake light is firmly placed between the dual exhaust system and both are embedded into the aggressive rear bumper.
Just last week, SupraMKV also posted a sneak peek of the rear end. Finished in yellow, styling cues from the gorgeous Toyota FT-1 are evident.
Early this month, the same forum also managed to upload the front end of the 2020 Toyota Supra with no camouflage at all.
As for what drives the 2020 Toyota Supra, Toyota has remained tight-lipped about technical details, however, Supra chief engineer Tetsuya Tada has already confirmed it will use a BMW sourced inline-six cylinder engine.
In the BMW Z4 M40i, the engine is rated at 382 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. This allows the Z4 to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
It’s only a matter of weeks before the 2020 Toyota Supra is fully revealed, stay tuned.
