Abu Dhabi Motors, the official distributor for BMW, MINI and Rolls Royce vehicles in Abu Dhabi, is no stranger to rare and exquisite models from any of the three brands. While we’re used to seeing Rolls Royce and BMW’s from them, this time, they have the jaw-dropping 2020 MINI John Cooper Works GP.
One of just 3,000 built for the entire world, this is the second known publicly displayed model in the UAE. The model that resides at the showroom is number 0111 of the 3,000.
For those looking at it and saying “It’s just a MINI, it’s nothing fancy!” You would be wrong. This is the fastest, most powerful MINI built to date.
Powering the hot hatch is a 2-litre TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder rated at 301 horsepower. Connected to an 8-speed Steptronic transmission with an integrated differential lock that drives the front wheels.
According to MINI, the 2020 John Cooper Works GP sprints to 100 km/h from standstill in 5.2 seconds before hitting a top speed of 265 km/h.
It is not known if this model is for sale or if it already has an owner. We could imagine it is the latter due to the rarity of the vehicle.
It is also not known how many will be available in the Emirates.
