With Geneva over and done with, it’s time to move onto the next Motor Show, this time in New York. Still a week or two away, close to 60 World and North American debuts are said to take place, one of which will be 2019 Toyota Rav 4.
Now entering its fifth generation, Toyota has yet to reveal any information about the upcoming 2019 Toyota Rav 4 apart from a single dark figure parked next to a body of water with the sun setting behind.
While it is quite calm to look at, the silhouette makes it hard to spot what’s new. However, upon further inspection, it appears to have a longer and flatter bonnet, revised front end and a slightly altered rear tailgate. Underneath, the 2019 Toyota Rav 4 is expected to utilise the underpinnings of the quirky CH-R and the brand new Lexus UX and regarding options, expect a wide range of the latest safety features and infotainment system.
What else to expect from the 2019 Toyota Rav 4
As the model is still shrouded in mystery and that includes powertrains. Speaking of which, we can expect a selection of four-cylinder motors depending on the region, and like the current model, a hybrid model should be readily available at launch. Just don’t expect a fully electric model.
We could continue, but we think it’s best to wait as the 2019 Toyota Rav 4 will be unveiled in full on Wednesday the 28th of March 2018 at 5:10 GST in New York.
