First previewed as a concept earlier this year, the production-ready 2019 Subaru Ascent rolls into LA and is their largest 8-seater model ever.
As standard, the SUV is equipped with 8-seats. However, if customers prefer a VIP interior, the middle seat of the second row can be removed to allow for a second-row captain’s chair.
Lying beneath the bonnet is an all-new 2.4-litre four-cylinder boxer engine equipped with direct fuel injection and a twin-scroll turbocharger. Working in perfect harmony, the 2019 Subaru Ascent produces 260 horsepower and throws down 375.5 Nm of torque and is capable of towing up to 2268 kgs.
Mated to a CVT transmission featuring an 8-speed automatic gearbox, Subaru says the Ascent is capable of traversing 805 km on a single tank.
