Despite making its international debut nine months ago, the 2019 Peugeot 508 has arrived in the UAE.
Revealed at the French marquee’s all-new concept store in Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi, the latest 508 premium saloon front end is enticing thanks to a bold front grille flanked by sharp LED headlights. Frameless windows compliment the fastback design while smooth lines flow towards the rear end.
Inside, the 508 is equipped with the brands signature i-Cockpit which includes a distinct steering wheel, a fluid infotainment system (available from 8-inches to 10-inches depending on the trim level) and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Furthermore, the 2019 508 also has plenty of “cool” features. To name a few; a wireless phone charger, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection and the list goes on.
The all-new 2019 Peugeot 508 draws power from a 1.6-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine rated at 165 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
As previously mentioned, the 508 has already made its international debut nine months ago, so why did it take so long to arrive in the Middle East?
The vehicles radiators and compressors have been tweaked for better A/C and engine cooling, while the gear ratios have been altered to cater more towards power rather than fuel economy.
Available in three trims, prices for the 2019 Peugeot 508 in the UAE start at AED 90,000.
