If you’re looking forward to the upcoming Ferrari SUV but just can’t wait, the 2019 Maserati Levante Trofeo perfectly fits the bill and will be available much earlier than the former.
Why the connection to the Prancing Horse? Power comes courtesy of a 3.8-litre V8 twin-turbo petrol engine which happens to be sourced from Ferrari. Good for 582 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque, the 2019 Maserati Levante Trofeo launches from standstill to 100 km/h in an impressive 3.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of 300 km/h.
The Trofeo has been fitted with a Corsa Drive mode. Tailor-made for the 2019 Maserati Levante Trofeo, this new mode not only comes with a launch control function but when engaged, Maserati says engine response and gear changes are improved while also lowering the car and stiffening up the suspension.
Is there anything else to the 2019 Maserati Levante Trofeo?
On top of the performance upgrades, the enhanced Levante benefits from a piano black grille, angular air intakes with honeycomb mesh inserts and Full Matrix LED headlamps. 22-inch alloys stand out on each corner while a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system sticks out the rear end and is completed with a body-colour diffuser.
Inside, the sports seats are covered in Pieno Fiore natural leather upholstery and there are a few additions to make note of. This includes a premium Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system, distinctive floor mats, analogue clock, paddle shifters and matte carbon fibre trim.
The 2019 Maserati Levante Trofeo will go into production this summer with North America receiving an exclusive Launch Edition. No pricing has been confirmed.
