A constant sight on UAE roads, the 2019 Lexus ES has arrived in the Emirates with a fresh look, new technology and enhanced performance.
Shown off earlier this year at the Beijing motor show, the latest version of the ES saloon is not only longer and wider, it rides on the Global Architecture – K platform which is said to offer sharper dynamics.
The 2019 Lexus ES saloon retains the front-wheel-drive platform and new for the seventh-generation version is the introduction of the sportier F-Sport trim level which adds 19-inch alloys, adaptive suspension and aluminium trim inside.
Over the years, Lexus has been slowly building up their lineup of hybrid cars with various eco-friendly versions appearing throughout their lineup. The 2019 Lexus ES lineup will also feature a green car bearing the ES 300h badge.
Fitted with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor producing a combined 215 brake horsepower. According to Lexus, together they offer ultra-quiet progress in stop-start traffic (only when the electric motor is being used) and impressive acceleration.
Furthermore, they also claim the ES 300h can traverse up to 1,205km on a single tank (full of course). The ES300h is mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission or CVT.
Of course, the lineup doesn’t just consist of a hybrid, there is also the ES 250 with a four-cylinder motor, 200 bhp and an eight-speed automatic gearbox, and the popular ES 350 is back with a 3.5-litre V6 good for 300 bhp and 355 Nm of torque and is connected to an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Prices in the UAE for the 2019 Lexus ES start at AED 185,000 for the ES 250, and the full-option Hybrid version is priced at AED 250,000.
