Last week, Ford teased the all-new 2019 Ford Focus. Most if not all of the images plus video showed us quick flashes of the exterior including the revised lighting units, rear lettering, front grille and rim designs. Officially shown off for the first time, the iteration of the Focus rides on a longer wheelbase allowing for additional interior space for all occupants no matter what shape the model comes in.
Which 2019 Ford Focus is your favourite?
Once again, the Focus will be available in no less than four guises up from three in its current from. Available as a four-door hatchback, saloon and estate/wagon, there are a number of trims to choose from. Vignale, Active, Titanium and ST-Line.
ST-Line variants are fitted with a large diffuser and lower wing elements to give an aggressive stance along with a functional roof spoiler. Vignale trim offers satin aluminium finished roof rails, and rocker inserts on top a unique front grille.
We missed the fourth for a reason as it is something we’d never thought Ford would do it. For the first time, the 2019 Ford Focus will be available as a crossover. Riding slightly higher compared to the rest of the lineup, the Focus Active is fitted with a unique front end, protective black wheel arches and contrast silver front and rear plates and rocker inserts.
The new Focus is available in no less than 13 colours including Desert Island Blue, Orange Glow and four-coat Dark Mulberry which is exclusively available to Vignale variants.
Inside, Ford has cleaned up the interior and added soft-touch materials to the door panels and top half of the dashboard. One key highlight is the Ford SYNC 3 infotainment system. Measuring in at 8-inches not only is it a touchscreen, but it also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The vehicle can also be had with a wireless phone charger and a B&O Play sound system boasting an impressive 10-speakers and subwoofer.
The all-new 2019 Ford Focus is crammed with a host of state-of-the-art safety features, including Level 2 automation. There’s an Adaptive Front Lighting System with Predictive curve light providing maximum visibility before entering a curve, roundabout etc. Other noteworthy systems include rear wide-view camera, park-out assist, wrong way alert, pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, active park assist 2 and much more.
Across the globe, the 2019 Ford Focus can be had with a variety of engines sipping on either Diesel or Petrol. Out of the eight motors, GCC residents will most likely be able to choose a 1.5-litre EcoBoost mated to either a six-speed manual or a new eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Deliveries for European markets will start in September and order can be placed now. Sales for US customers start later this year while the 2019 Ford Focus is scheduled to be available in the Middle East by the end of the year or early 2019.
