One could argue that racing stripes should be kept on the track and far away from road cars, but there are a few exceptions to the rule including the 2019 Dodge Charger Hellcat.
While having race stripes isn’t new to the 2019 model year, the expansion of colours available are. Previously only available in gunmetal-grey or carbon-black, Dodge has added Red, Blue and Silver to the list.
If you haven’t guessed already, the stripes run from the vehicles front bumper, over the bonnet, across the roof and come to a stop on the boot lid which gives the 2019 Dodge Charger Hellcat a classic racer look.
In the US, the eye-catching stripes are available for an additional $995 or AED 3,655.
And the stripes don’t stop there as for the first time; they can also be applied to the Charger R/T with or without the Scat Pack.
Aside from the aesthetic changes, select trim levels receive changes with the addition of all-wheel drive for the Charger SXT and rear-drive for the Charger GT. The GT and R/T trims get upgraded chassis components and revised styling cues.
Meanwhile, the Charger R/T Scat Pack and 2019 Dodge Charger Hellcat receive a new launch assist system and Line Lock features plus a new front grille. The latter also gets a new Torque Reserve and After-Run Chiller systems.
