Revealed this time last year at the 2018 LA Auto Show, the 2019 Audi A8 has arrived in Abu Dhabi and is now on sale with plenty of tech and options available, autonomous drive modes and a powerful V8.
But the V8 isn’t the only option available, there are two engines to choose from in the UAE for the 2019 Audi A8; a 4.0-litre turbo V8 rated at 460 horsepower or a 3.0-litre turbo V6 rated at 340hp.
The petrol V8 engine makes use of the German manufacturer’s new design language and benefits from mild-hybrid technology ensuring low emissions. It is also the first production vehicle in the world with automated driving modes.
Offering 120 horsepower and 160 Nm of torque more compared to the standard V6, the extra kick allows the A8 to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.
Audi’s signature Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive returns with a self-locking differential. MHEV versions can be had with an optional sport differential which sends power to individual wheels when needed.
As for the options, buyers can fulfil their needs with a long list of features including a rear-entertainment package, a panoramic sunroof, executive rear seat comfort package, HD matrix LED headlights and more.
Pricing for the 2019 Audi A8 has not been revealed but is available at showrooms across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Expect the model to be available in Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates shortly.
